Juan Antonio Portela
The Argentinian guitarist singer, a mix between Buster Keaton and Marlon Brando. He began studying the guitar at the age of seven, started with Argentinian music, e.g. Tango, and developed into different musical styles from Bossa Nova to Flamenco and Jazz. In Europe where he has been living for the past 15 years, he played in various Pop-Jazz bands.
Ruben Alvear
Where Ecuadorean folk meets Lenny Kravitz. The man with the black curls originally studied theatre and music. His style is Latin Rock Salsa Pop with a taste of Heavy Metal. Ruben was featured on various CDs as solo artist and with his band Ruben Alvear Project.
Carlos Chavez
…or Ricky Martin meets Rap. The Cuban studied “serious” concert guitar before he decided to conquer Europe with traditional Cuban Son, Jazz and Salsa. He shook his hips in several bands and has worked at the Conservative School of Latin Music as a guitar teacher.
